THANK YOU THURSDAY: You have seen MillerFlow appear on his podcast, and he has graciously opened the invitation to film at Laurel High School. Only thought it right today to give Coach Devonne Powell @coachdevonne thanks and appreciation for the heart and dedication he has put in to the athletic community here in the DMV.

Coach Powell is a graduate of Laurel High School and a strong supporter of the Washington Commanders (which he’s going to know MillerFlow is a supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, so we gonna be odds there lol). He is the head football coach of the Spartans, assistant coach of 2025 State Champ Spartans Varsity Basketball team, and coach of lacrosse team as well. That is one thing you’ll know about Devonne, he is heavily involved in athletics, in and around his community. He also is a big voice and advocate for the Prince George’s County Football Coaches Association. He is all about unity and doing things the right way, yet a stickler for being on time (he don’t play with going over time or being late). I personally have been encouraged by the profound respect he has for the community and media at large. Whether friend or foe, Coach will keep it 100 with you. He’s one coach that is going to give you an honest heart felt opinion about the nature of his team or anything in life’s dealings.

His players respect him deeply. You can tell respect goes a long way for Devonne. Players and coaches he interacts with speak to him with respect. They know he’s a real one. Some do it for wins and championships to stack on their wall; we know Coach Powell does it for the love of the game.

BIG THANK YOU Coach Devonne for all that you do. Your impact on the DMV has been a great one, and it’s necessary we give you honor for that.
