🏀🏀 VIKINGS HOME OPENER BBALL EDITION
🆚 Carver A&T vs Lansdowne 
📍Lansdowne, Maryland (Lansdowne HS) 

Outside was freezing cold but the action was hot on the inside. The MFVAllSportsNetwork crew pulled up to Lansdowne High School gym as the girls varsity game was already in progress. The energy in the building was crazy, and I got the feeling some trash talking had been ensuing between both schools. The Lady Vikings were victorious, so the atmosphere was set for the boys varsity teams to WIN. .


1st HALF – As you discover with the beginning of many sports competitions, teams seem to try and establish a rhythm often ironing out the kinks early.  For the Vikings, they started off very fast paced, striking first blood immediately after the tip off.  They pressed early, forcing the Wildcats to give up the ball adding quick points to a Viking lead.  However, Carver A&T, picked up the pace a bit after finding a way around the Viking’s press.  A few buckets and they were challenging their opponent. Lansdowne also gave us a few dazzling dunks that definetly raised the energy level in the building. Lansdowne led in to the half 44-22.

2nd HALF – Carver started with the ball, but turned it over to Lansdowne pretty quickly.  The Vikings continued their attack spreading the lead even further until reaching the 35 point mercy rule.  I am not going to say it was given up easily. In fact, the Wildcats displayed excellent body language, not giving up, fighting for every point they could get. No BIG displays of frustration, they just battled back. It was also nice to see the Vikings bring players off their bench, who dropped a good number of points.  Their bench was in full support going crazy when their teammates made a huge impacting shot. In the end, the Vikings succeeded in their home opener with a W.



TO THE WILDCATS, MFV was quite impressed with your attitude and willingness to fight. A lot of teams seem to give up, however you did the total opposite. KEEP GRINDING, keep listening to your coaches.  You are led very well, victory is coming for you!!!!!!

TO THE LANSDOWNE CREW, it is always a privilege to come out to Vikings Nation.  You always give us a good show, whether winning or losing. The culture is vibrant, and you guys got a lot of stars on your team. KEEP STRIVING FOR GREATNESS, and continue to vibe off the energy your fans give you.
