GAME RECAP
The game started off as a slow sloppy defense battle, with Spaulding in control. The Flyers kept it close with big defense stops but Spalding’s #22 Nash A, and #11 Braxton B kept the the flow.
2nd Period – Spalding pushed forward their lead by a couple viscous dunks from Nash Avery, 3 pointers by #3 Moe L, and couple others contributing on offense. The Cavaliers were able leave out of the half with a 34-19 lead
3rd Period – PGCA started off with a 8-0 run to open the quarter pulling them closer to Spalding and causing them to call for a quick timeout. After a couple shots from #12 on the Flyers brought it to a 6 point game mid 3rd. Spalding was still able to still keep control but PGCA Flyers were clearly fighting back with the score being 42-40.
4th Period – With the quarter beginning, PGCA started off on a 12-1 run containing Nash Avery from scoring. And with some added big plays by the Flyers’ #4, they went up 8 point with 3 mins to go. And as the game clocked ticked on down, the Flyers continued with some crucial turnovers and a dragger rim hanging dunk by #11 PGCA won 58-48.
