Walking in to the Lions Den, MFV witnessed a lot of preparation. The security team during their job, the Lions Band instrument players preparing. The Howard Lions came out their locker room, ready for action to Reservoir Gators team prepared for a fight.
A Thursday night high school football game’s aroma was filling the air…..
ANOTHER HOWARD LIONS SHUTOUT.
Last week, the Lions reigned victorious defeating their county rival, the Mount Hebron Vikings 43-0. And driving through the county again, they defeat the Reservoir Gators, 30-0. Are we to raise our eyes to consider a good run for the the Lions this season? NO DOUBT, they put up two shut out victories so far. They have a big test next with Marriotts Ridge coming to the Den after losing to the Century Knights.
WHAT WAS THE KEY TO HOWARD’S SUCCESS!!!!
The hidden gem in the Howard Lions arsenal is their LINE, offense and defense. Offensively, running the ball was superb because the O Line made key blocks. While on defense, lineman stopped advances with quickness and putting pressure on the Gators QB. Let me also say, their pass game is excellent. Their receivers have very impressive hands!!!
FUTURE SUCCESS
I want to wish success and encouragement to BOTH the Gators and the Lions. Keep grinding, and don’t give up. Keep pressing towards the goals you have set. It is only two games in to the season. Stay the course and strive to get better.
