🆚 Severn Run vs Meade

Awhile back during football season, I remember speaking with Coach McNeill who hinted at facing his former school Meade possibly in the playoffs. I got the sense he realized this may be a reoccurring thing with Severn Run in the 4A. Two coaches who are familiar with each other and familiar with one another’s players. It was amazing now to finally see it come to fruition: Coach Michael Glick, faces off against his former assistant coach, Coach David McNeill. The atmosphere was set for some real good basketball.
Anyways, let’s get in to the game recap:
1ST QTR – This was all dominated by Meade. The Mustangs went on an 18-2 run. Varsity ⭐️ Keon Scott landed a few tres, one which was almost at the Meade center court logo.
2ND QTR – Severn started making a good comeback cutting Meade’s lead to within 8pts. This was due to the Wolves pressing, getting critical turnovers and quick scoop and scores. However, Mustangs maintained their dominance going into the half, 36-18.
2ND HALF – Meade Mustangs pretty much kept their foot on the gas and didn’t let off. Meade’s #32 Justin Terry, really made a name for himself getting good rebounds and scoring in critical times. However, that is not to say, the Wolves didn’t put up a fight. They really fought to the very end of the game. Both teams let their bench’s shine. They got their moments to drop a three or make a big play.
OVERALL, this was awesome to watch. CONGRATULATIONS MUSTANGS as you advance on to the next round. GOOD GAME WOLVES, super proud of you guys. Great season, bigger things are on the horizon. LOVE THE BOTH OF YOU!!!!
