TEAM SPOTLIGHT: There is a serious winning culture brewing in Carroll County. Our Spotlight team today are some awesome ladies currently building on being champions: the Manchester Valley Varsity Girls Lacrosse team. Led by Coach Shelly Brezicki, they’re reaching some beautiful heights you don’t want to miss!!

BACK TO BACK 2A CHAMPIONSHIPS – The Mavericks have overcome adversity last two seasons winning back to back state titles. What may look like an easy accomplishment is really a road filled obstacles for a team to overcome. Winning championships is hard, two even harder. And these ladies did it.

PERFECT 2026 SEASON – Manchester Valley can boast of 19-0 in 2026. Beautiful yet mind-boggling how they were able to achieve this.

NATIONAL RANKING – According to USA Lacrosse they are ranked 6th nationally, and 3rd amongst public schools around the country. Let’s just say is top-tier team. 

BUILDING CULTURE – Manchester Valley High School alone can boast of winning state titles in its other athletic programs, and the girls lacrosse is exhibiting a growing winning culture. From observation, they appear to have their team locked in, starting right after the championship ends. Watching this creates high anticipation of achieving their goals next season.
