The gymnasium over at Glen Burnie high school had a considerably good sized crowd as they joined to watch both JV and Varsity volleyball matches between the Annapolis Panthers and the Glen Burnie Gophers. I would say these two meeting revealed some pretty good positives for both their JV and Varsity teams. Both matches were literally down to the wire, determining a winner by the final set victory.

ANNAPOLIS PANTHERS ARE FIGHTERS!!!!

Off the top, JV and Varsity Panthers are going to be fighters—meaning they are going to be fighting in games to the last buzzer. Their hitters exemplified playing hard. You could tell they tried to expose weaknesses in their opponents defense and fight from that angle. It was just great moments to witness!!!

KEEP THAT ENERGY GOPHERS

Glen Burnie has some great energy. I think, and this is my opinion, it arises from their Liberos, who consistently made sure the team was fired up with energy needed to surpass difficult moments!!!

This energy also helped the Gophers take necessary leads to finish a set or keep staying up until the end. There’s a lot of good ahead for these ladies.

Overall, we wish you nothing but success in your seasons. Gophers and Panthers, stay strong and build upon what is strong. Weaknesses, keep grinding to improve and get better.
